For her, being a full-spectrum doula is a presentation of the inclusivity of diverse experiences that women go through in their unique maternal journeys. With a focus on autonomous and trauma-informed maternal healthcare, she extends her role beyond Doula services to mentor and coach, guiding women as they navigate the transformative path of becoming a mother.

Experience and Credentials

Kimberly has achieved significant milestones in her career as a Full Spectrum Doula. Trained by Carriage House Birth, Placenta Benefits Inc., and Still Birth Day, she holds an AA degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, a BA in Writing and a minor in Communications.

She has trained extensively in postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), is Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC), has an EMT certification, and is well versed in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT).

As the Director of International Cesarean Awareness Network's Chapter, Kimberly actively contributes to advocacy projects and spearheads the local ICAN chapter with her co-leaders, showcasing her dedication to empowering and supporting women in their maternal journeys.

Kimberly’s talents and skills don’t just end here; you might also see her providing patient care at the Ocean Perinatal in the picturesque Ventura Harbor, making appearances on your television as a featured actor. (Of course, she is a SAG-Eligible actor!)

With years of dedicated "bedside" work and the honor of serving hundreds of families, Kimberly has recently transitioned her practice to align with her life and dreams.

Beyond a birth doula, she is also committed to providing invaluable support for miscarriage/baby loss both at home and in the hospital. Additionally, she offers placenta medicine and serves as a Certified Lactation Counselor, ensuring comprehensive care for new mothers.

This background informs her empathetic and nurturing approach to her work as a Doula, activist, actor, and writer.

What specific services does Kimberly offer in her current practice?

As of early 2024, Kimberly has transitioned to taking a select few clients per year for home births. She continues to provide miscarriage and baby loss support, both at home and in hospitals, along with placenta medicine offerings and lactation support as a Certified Lactation Counselor. Additionally, she remains actively involved in advocacy projects, including serving as the International Cesarean Awareness Network's Chapter Director.
